My nails for London Fashion Week

During London Fashion Week recently, I was lucky enough to be able to assist David Barton in creating manicures for the Mark Fast fashion show.

After the invitation, I had a bit of a crisis - what manicure to you wear to a fashion show?? Okay, so I wasn't going to be on the runway myself (obviously) but I didn't want my nails to look bland.

Barry M's 'Cyan Blue'.

I spent so long on this manicure...only for it chip on me a few hours after I finished it! I'd used a gel nail polish underneath the normal nail lacquer and I think that this is what made the design chip so quickly.

Needless to say, I had to remove the whole thing...and ended up going with bare nails!!

I have a feeling that they would have chipped at the show anyway. I spent the whole time there putting Minx wraps or false nails and sticking them on models. My fingers actually ached afterwards. I'm still really happy that I got to experience such a fantastic show. Hopefully, they'll call me again next season.

Have a great weekend!

I'm catching up, slowly...

If these are repeat posts, I'm sorry.

I had been voluntarily submitting some work for a blogazine over the last few months, but with some free-lance nail work and a lot of other things coming up, I had to call it a day. I was finding it hard to blog for fun here, let alone blog for free somewhere else. As I had been asked to provide unique work, I didn't post the manicures here. Now that I'm no longer submitting work, I'm posting my pictures here for you to have a look.

I'm still way behind with all of my pictures, but I'm getting there folks!

Green and gold

Hi all.

Today I have a manicure I was wearing the other day. My nails were painted green with a gold accent nail...of course, I got antsy and decided to fiddle with it.

Gold and black acrylic paint with some individually placed hexagonal shaped glitter pieces.

On a different note, I've noticed that a few of my manicures have managed to find themselves on Pintrest. My watermarking editor is pretty substandard and looks quite blurry. Anyone know of a good watermarking tool? I'll be eternally grateful.

Hello!

Well, hello!!

It's been about a month since I've blogged or even attempted to have a look at my dashboard. After having so many things going on, blogging became a second thought and I didn't want to just churn out manicures for the sake of it. Hence my sabbatical.

I thought that for the next few posts I would just show you what I've been doing.

I absolutely love this pink. It's a jelly polish so you will need a few coats of it, but this is a colour that will definitely cheer you up. I wore this manicure to The Nails Show...but it didn't last more than one day because I used the wrong UV top coat and the whole thing started to crack!

I worked at The Cherished Hair Party the following weekend and wore the below designs:

Here's a set of nails I did at the party:

And here are a few pictures of some other manicures that I've done recently:

This particular design was one I found on Instagram and replicated.

I do have a backlog of pictures, so please bare with me.

Thanks for continuing to subscribe and follow during my absence.
