Dunno what this is...

I created this manicure recently and wore it for a couple of days. To be honest with you, I think it's a bit 'all-over-the-place'. I don't know about you, but I don't ever plan my manicures. I simply pick a base colour and have a look at my stash of plates and nail art materials until an idea comes to me. Sometimes those ideas are great...and sometimes they are like this. Meh.

The flowers were from BM plate 10 and stamped with Sally Hansen's 'The Real Teal', GOSH's Special Edition 'Neon Baby' and some random white polish.

The trellis is from BM plate 210

Color Club's Magic Attraction. Yummy isn't it?

The Giveaway winner is...

Hi friends.  First let me start by saying thank you for all of the birthday greetings and tweets. I had a really lovely day and evening. It all finished far too soon in my opinion. 365 days is a bit too long to wait for another installment of fun.

Thank you to the lovely people that entered this giveaway. I didn't have half as many entries last time, but this meant that the odds were even better for those who did enter.

Enough babble. Here are the results!

Congratulations Meloree!

Thank you to everyone that participated. Better luck the next time around!

Go Li-Li, it's your birthday! Flash-Giveaway CLOSED

Hi Friends!

Today is my birthday! I've had a lovely day so far and in a few hours I'm going out to shake a leg. As people have been giving me gifts today, I thought I might give one too. Keep reading if you're interested...

My mani today is simple. Slamming Red by Studio M (which is a beast to photograph, but is truely magnificent) and Barry M's Instant Effects crackle polish.

Simple but soooo effective. In real life? It's bonkers with all of its holographic glitter. This was on my wish list from the get-go and I was lucky enough to have this sent to me as a surprise (thanks Kris).

Now on to the FLASH-GIVEAWAY!!

I bought these earrings in a craft market in Jamaica back in March and they are looking for a good home. If you want to win them, and a little something extra, just fill in the form below. The giveaway will end on Sunday 21st May at 23:59 GMT and it's open internationally. All you have to do is be a GFC follower and tweet about, blog about or display this giveaway in your sidebar for a extra entry. 'Tis all!

I'LL ANNOUNCE THE WINNER BY THE END OF THE WEEK!

Rimmel 'Electric' and BM plate 208

Hiya friends, how's it going?

I have another mani for you, courtesy of Bundle Monster and my favourite pink at the moment.

I used BM plate208- both images on my nails are on that plate.

Don't worry about the cuticles - they are flooded with my top coat and I couldn't be bothered to clean up. Lazy girl.

No nails...just idle chatter and an advert I like.

So, for some reason, since yesterday, Blogger has been telling me that I'm not following any blogs (um, you've seen how long my blog roll is, right?!) I don't know what to do about it. Usually if I get that error message I can just refresh the page, but I've a-refreshin' and my dashboard is still gaping at me. Any advice would be appreciated friends.

I've also noticed the amount of bloggers who are celebrating their birthdays this month. Well, Happy Birthday to you all!

Guess who's a year older next week Friday? Yes, I'm 21 again for the millionth time. I'm not concerned though. I went out with my cousin a couple of weeks ago and the bouncer at the club told us that we need to stop spending our parent's money on frivolities. I was so pleased with myself.

Whilst I'm diverting from the norm (naughty me), I thought I'd show you my favourite advert right now. That mum? That's so me. That's how much I value my daily caffeine fix.

Additions to the family

Hey friends

I had lots of comments about my blog when I ran my giveaway recently. I specifically asked for some feedback because I knew that there were lots of you that would read, but not comment.  The comments I got were interesting. Some were quite helpful; things that I'd never thought of, or hadn't got around to yet. Others? Sorry to disappoint, but I'm not going to be parading my Outfit of the Day anytime soon...although I do have some fabulous ones *pops collar* .

Someone did say I should show my hauls...but I don't like flaunting my frivolous spending (it offends my inner frugalist). Instead, I shall speak of my 'additions'.  Oh, and here they are!

So, I've just poured these out of their box and realised that they don't have individual names.

 Barry M's Nail Effects 315, 314

MUA's Black and BM Plates 2nd edition

And my favourites, sent to me by Shadow (because she is just too lovely!)
L-R Mint Apple, Green Ocean, San Franciso

 L-R Hottie, Frenzy, Daddy's Girl

L-R Dream On, What's Your Name

Oh, and I bought some Seche Vite too! I have to re-arrange my Helmer at some point. Once I have, I'll post my stash.

Handpainted design

Hi friends!

I'm having trouble trying to name my manicures - brain freeze.

This one is inspired by an H&M dress that I was wearing recently.  I used 17's Twighlight Teaser as a base and acrylic paints for the flowers/pattern/thingies.

Um, not one of my best but hey!

Giveaway winner, get in here!!!!

Wow. After going through over 230 names and 1188 entries, we have a winner for my giveaway...

 Congratulations to...
Miu!!!

Miu, I've sent you an email. You have 48 hours to get back to me!
Commiserations to those of you lovely readers who entered but didn't win this time.  I really appreciate the love and also the comments you left about the content of my blog. I saw a few really good suggestions, so if you see any changes over the next few weeks, it's because you gave me the idea.

Nails Inc Ebor St and stamping

Hi friends.

Remember I said I had a load of Nails Inc polishes that I've never used? Well, I got this one for Christmas last year and thought I'd try it out.
Oh dear. It was like trying to apply milk to your nails; it was so runny and streaky. You can see my middle nail is mess. I thought I'd try to salvage it with some nail art. This is definately not a polish I'd wear on its own again, although the colour itself is nice.

Two layers of the very lovely Nfu-Oh 50

I can't remember which colours I used to stamp, but only the white was a Konad Special polish. The purple and cerise were either Maybelline or Rimmel. I find that the heavy pigmented polishes work just as well as Konad - AND they don't streak if you put on a regular clear polish or topcoat.

This lasted until the end of the day because I didn't like the pinkie nail :-(
